God’s Angel Mary Elizabeth (Dorris) Saddler, age 88, safely arrived home to her God and savior Jesus Christ on August 12, 2019. She was born August 29, 1930 in Wynne Arkansas to Burnett and Helen (Liston) Dorris who preceded her in death. She married her friend and love, Eddie Saddler Jr., on October 28, 1955 and was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years.

Mary would like share with you her mission here on earth is complete. She received a call from an employer with an offer she couldn’t refuse; she accepted an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a large sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Job security is at 110 percent. Her new mission takes her to a fabulous place where she will be very active, socializing, listening to music, dancing, gardening, and reading until her heart is content. Music laughter and love is guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She left strict detailed instructions to her family and friends to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed. No adherence to these instructions will not be tolerated. From her birth on August 29, 1930 to her death on Monday she nourished people around her with love, faith, values, music, laughter, and plenty of good times. She was truly the matriarch of the family.

She leaves to cherish her memories: brother, Gene Dorris; sister, Hellen Marie Dorris; brother-in-law, James Saddler; three sons; David Lee Dorris (Julia) of Alaska, Donald Ray Saddler (Betty) of Alaska, Don Alvin Saddler of Aberdeen; three daughters Mary Ann Hanna (Yarnell) of Edgewood, Barbara Ann Taylor of Aberdeen, Brenda Kay Saddler of Aberdeen, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Eddie, sisters, Ernestine, Flora, Miley, Penny, and Mildred; brothers Lloyd, Roosevelt, Moledge, Robert, and Homer; children; sons: Roscoe (Bud) Holmes, Edward (PeeWee) Saddler, daughter Michelle Manning; great grandchildren, Dontae Saddler, and Sondrea Wyatt.

Mary lived a full life as a wonderful mother, wife, homemaker and worker in numerous career fields.

Most of all she loved her family and instilled in everyone that crossed her path love and strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

May your mother's soul be at peace and that her passage to another place find all of family also at peace.
I will always cherish and remember the generosity and wisdom she and Eddie Saddler stowed upon me as a young person at a time when I was in need.
Although words are never adequate when a loved one passes away, please know my thought are with all you !
