Obituary for Edward Lee Eatman

Edward Lee Eatman, was born on November 7, 1938 to the late Nelson and Beatrice Eatman in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He departed this life on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Citizens Care Center, Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Edward received his early education and graduated from the Tuscaloosa Public School System. He was a member of Smith A.M.E. Church in Alabama. On July 9, 1976 he was united in holy matrimony to Fitzella Watkins.

He enlisted in the United States Army and for over 21 years served his country, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. His favorite hobby was bowling.

Edward leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Fitzella Eatman; children, Ella Jean (Kevin) Jones, Horace A. (Christine) Watkins, James Q. (Tangie) Watkins, Mary Renee’ (Brian) Brown, Vanita’ Joyce (Meilborn) Bougward; grandchildren, Edward Lamont Thomas, Mary Alice (Kevin) Commodore, John Watkins, Trail Jefferson; sisters Faye, Lucy and Louise Eatman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings George, Willie Lee, Emma Jean, Ida Mae, Floyd Mac and Norma Jean.
